- B28 Tail Assembly -

By adding one of several fuzes and tails to a W28 warhead, a B28FI ("Fuzed Internal") bomb was created. Each warhead in the inventory thus had many variants, each with a specific strategic or tactical use. This particular tail section was used for our frequent practice removing, inspecting, and reinstalling the retardation parachute (even at over 600 mph a B-52 would require quite a bit of time to fly the distance necessary to be clear of a B28's blast radius.)
